NOVEMBER BOARD MEETING
ADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting on November 21, 2023. Board members present were Melodie Huttash, Carol Mills, Steven Ricks, and Mary Anne Saunders. Staff members present were Mary Allington, Mary DeWalt, Alex Hartman,  Monika Pomper, Jamie Thill and John Thill.

    1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER.
      CM called the meeting to order at 8:32 am.
    2. CONSENT AGENDA
      1. Changes to the agenda.
      2. Approval of the minutes of Tuesday, October 17, 2023 Board Meeting 
      3. Approval of the October Financial Reports
        SR moved to accept the consent agenda, MAS seconded, the motion carried.
    3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, PUBLIC WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE 
      The board briefly discussed the director’s report. There was no public written correspondence.
    4. QUARTERLY STATISTICS
      1. N/A
    5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
      1. Star Branch Library Expansion Update
        A presentation was given by members of the expansion project committee.
      2. FY24 budget with carryover (approved in October)
      3. Current installment of “Know Your Library District”
        The next video will be released in December.
    6. NEW BUSINESS
      1. Policy review schedule
        There will be a queue for four policies that need to be updated.
    7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
      The next monthly meeting will be held at the Victory Branch on January 16, 2023 at 8:30am.
      MAS moved to adjourn the meeting, MH seconded, the meeting adjourned at 9:39 am.
