MAY BOARD MEETING
ADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Board members present were Carol Mills, Steven Ricks, and Sandy Taylor. Staff members present were Mary DeWalt, Mary Allington, Alex Hartman, Anna Langrill and Monika Pomper.

    1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER.
      Carol Mills called the meeting to order at 8:33 am.
    2. CONSENT AGENDA
      1. The minutes of the April monthly meeting were presented. 
      2. The Financial statements for April were presented.
        SR moved to accept the consent agenda, CM seconded, the motion carried.
    3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, PUBLIC WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE 
      The Director’s report featured the upcoming summer reading program among other items. Public sentiment received via board contact methods regarding the March book vote was shared by the board chair, and comments received by the director were compiled and shared with the board.
    4. QUARTERLY REPORTS
      N/A
    5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
      1. Conference and Study Room Policy revision [Action Item]
        After brief discussion and additional suggested content, SR moved to approve the revised policy as amended, ST seconded, motion passed.
    6. NEW BUSINESS
      1. Budget Information
        Preliminary information was shared and some priorities were noted.
    7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
      The next monthly meeting will be held at the Lake Hazel Branch on June 20, 2023 at 8:30am.   SR moved to adjourn the meeting, ST seconded, the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 9:02 am.
