FEBRUARY BOARD MEETING
ADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting on February 20, 2024. Board members present were Carol Mills, Steven Ricks, Mary Anne Saunders, and Sandy Taylor. Staff members present were Mary Allington, Mary DeWalt, Anna Langrill, Jamie Thill, and John Thill.

    1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER.
      CM called the meeting to order at 8:32 am.
    2. CONSENT AGENDA
      1. Changes to the agenda.
      2. Approval of the minutes of Tuesday, January 16, 2024 Board Meeting 
      3. Approval of the January Financial Reports
        SR moved to accept the consent agenda, MAS seconded, the motion carried.
    3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, PUBLIC WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE 
      The board briefly discussed the director’s report. There was no public written correspondence.
    4. QUARTERLY STATISTICS
      1. N/A
    5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
      1. Program Policy Update
        MAS moved to accept the program policy, SR seconded, and the motion carried.
      2. Star Branch Library Expansion Update
        A member of the expansion project committee gave a brief overview of the expansion project.
      3. Hidden Springs Library expansion update.
        JT discussed pre-inspection, contractor bidding, and fundraising for the expansion project.
      4. Current installment of Know Your Library District
        The revision of the next installment is in progress. The video will be finalized soon.
    6. NEW BUSINESS
      1. LYNX Consortium JPA and bylaws approval.
        MAS moved to accept the LYNX Consortium JPA and bylaws, SR seconded, and the motion carried.
    7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
      The next monthly meeting will be held at the Victory Branch on March 19, 2024 at 8:30am.
      SR moved to adjourn the meeting, MAS seconded, the meeting adjourned at 9:07 am.
