SEPTEMBER BOARD MEETING
ADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting on September 17, 2024. Carol Mills, Sandy Taylor, Steven Ricks, Mary Anne Saunders, and Melodie Huttash were board members present. Staff members present were Mary DeWalt, AlexHartman, Anna Langrill, Monika Pomper, and John Thill.

    1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER.
           CM called the meeting to order at 8:38 am.
    2. CONSENT AGENDA
      1. Changes or additions to the agenda.
      2. The minutes of monthly board meeting and annual public budget hearing of Tuesday, August 20, 2024 were presented.
      3. The financial reports for August were presented.
        MAS moved to accept the consent agenda, SR seconded, the motion carried.
    3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, PUBLIC WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE 
      The board briefly discussed the report presented by MD.
    4. QUARTERLY REPORTS     N/A
    5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
      1. Star Library expansion update
        Personnel involved in the project were presented with enthusiasm for the project.
      2. Hidden Springs Library expansion update.
        Work has begun. It is anticipated that it will be nearly complete by next board meeting.
      3. Personnel Policy revisions
        The policy changes were discussed and will be sent to ICRMP for review.
    6. NEW BUSINESS
      1. Trustee Zone discussion
        All aspects were discussed, information continues to be gathered with hope for a decision at the October meeting.
    7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
      The next monthly board meeting will be held at the Hidden Springs Branch on October 15, 2024 at 8:30am.
      The meeting adjourned at 10:13 am.
