BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting on July 19, 2022. Board members present were Carol Mills, Steven Ricks, and Reba Bell. Staff present were Mary DeWalt, Monika Pomper, Alex Hartman, Mary Allington, Julie Rice, and Anna Langrill.

    1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER..
      Carol Mills called the meeting to order at 4:25 pm.
    2. CONSENT AGENDA
      1. Changes or additions to the agenda.
      2. The minutes of the June monthly meeting were presented.
      3. The Financial statements for June were presented.
        SR moved to accept the consent agenda, RB seconded, the motion carried.
    3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, PUBLIC WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE 
      The board briefly discussed library news and one public correspondence.
    4. QUARTERLY REPORTS
      The board discussed the statistics.
    5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
      1. Internet Use Policy update [Action Item]
        After discussion, RB moved to approve the increase, SR seconded, the motion carried.
      2. Patron’s Rights and Responsibilities Policy update [Action Item]
        The board reviewed the update, SR moved to accept the update, CM seconded, the motion carried.
      3. FY23 Budget planning
        The board discussed the proposed budget.
    6. NEW BUSINESS
      1. none
    7. Adjourn to Executive Session
      The board adjourned at 5:00 pm
      Started the meeting at 5:12 pm
    8. Retirement wishes to 27 year employee 
      The board expressed their appreciation for the many years of dedicated service.
    9. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
      The next monthly meeting will be held at the Lake Hazel Branch on August 23rd at 5:00pm. The FY2023 public hearing will follow at 6:00 pm.  SR moved to adjourn the meeting, RB seconded, the meeting adjourned at 5:24 pm.
