DECEMBER BOARD MEETING
ADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting on December 17, 2024. Carol Mills, Steven Ricks, and Mary Anne Saunders were board members present. Staff members present were Mary DeWalt, Mary Allington, Alex Hartman, Anna Langrill, Monika Pomper, and John Thill.

    1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER.
           CM called the meeting to order at 8:32 am.
    2. CONSENT AGENDA
      1. Changes or additions to the agenda.
      2. The minutes of monthly board meeting of Tuesday, November 19, 2024 were presented.
      3. The financial reports for November were presented.
        SR moved to accept the consent agenda, MAS seconded, the motion carried.
    3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, PUBLIC WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE 
      The board briefly discussed information presented by MD.
    4. QUARTERLY REPORTS
      1. N/A
    5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
      1. Resolution establishing Trustee Zones [Action Item]
        The resolution was presented and discussed. SR moved to approve for submission, MAS seconded, and the motion carried.
    6. NEW BUSINESS
      1. Recommended use of existing budget area for enhanced benefits, personnel manual procedural revision [Action Item] Discussion about extending medical and dental benefits to employees working between20-29 hours per week under a shared cost formula. MAS moved to approve extension of benefits as possible within budget, SR seconded, the motion passed.
    7. EXECUTIVE SESSION
      The quorum was lost at this time so there was no executive session
    8. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
      The next monthly board meeting will be held at the Victory Branch on January 21, 2025 at 8:30am.
      The meeting adjourned at 9:33 am.
