NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AUGUST BOARD MEETING
ADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Board members present were Carol Mills, Steven Ricks, Reba Bell and Sandy Taylor. Staff members present were Mary DeWalt, Mary Allington, Julie Rice, and Anna Langrill

    1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER..
      Carol Mills called the meeting to order at 5:15 pm.
    2. CONSENT AGENDA
      1. Changes or additions to the agenda.
      2. The minutes of the July monthly meeting were presented.
      3. The Financial statements for July were presented.
        SR moved to accept the consent agenda, ST seconded, the motion carried.
    3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, PUBLIC WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE 
      No written report. News of upcoming activities was shared.
    4. QUARTERLY REPORTS
      None.
    5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
      1. None 
    6. NEW BUSINESS
      1. Trustee business: resignation, appointment and oath of office, monthly meeting day/time
        The board accepted Deana Lowry’s resignation, Amy Fife was proposed for appointment to the seat. SR moved to approve her appointment, CM seconded, the motion carried. Amy Fife was given the oath of office by CM. The monthly day and time for meetings will be the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 8:30am.
      2. FY23 budget preliminary presentation and discussion.
        The board reviewed the proposed budget.
      3. Wage Scale revision – ACTION ITEM
        The board was presented with the proposed revision. RB moved to approve the revision, ST seconded, the motion carried.
      4. Interlibrary Loan Policy revision, non-pick up fee increase to $4.25
        The board discussed the fee increase for the first time
      5. Change of signatories
        Martha Beller and Travis Porter were removed from the Keybank checking account, Sarin Jensen and Steven Ricks were added. 
    7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
      The next monthly meeting will be held at the Victory Branch on September 20, 2022 at 8:30am.   RB moved to adjourn the meeting, SR seconded, the meeting adjourned at 6:05pm.
    8. Budget hearing for the Proposed FY2023 Budget is called to order at 6:10pm by CM
      SR moved to approve the FY23 budget, RB seconded, the motion carried.
      SR moved to adjourn the meeting, ST seconded, the motion carried. The hearing was adjourned at 6:12pm.
