For All Ages

Summer Reading is here! So how does it work?

Read at least 100 minutes (200 teens and adults) to earn your first prize ticket! For every 100 (200 teens and adults) minutes you read you will complete a level and earn a prize ticket. There are a total of nine levels. All reading must be tracked on your reading log.

Bonus reading sheets are available after you have completed all nine levels. Kids, Teens and Adults can grab one from their library branch and bring it back when finished to earn an additional prize ticket. You will earn one ticket for each bonus reading sheet completed.

Use your prize tickets to enter the weekly drawings.  Prizes will be available in four age groups.  Each time you earn a prize ticket you can use it for the weekly prize drawing or keep them to use another week. Each week there will be four new prizes; the more you read the more chances you have to win.

The grand prize in each age group will be awarded at the end of the summer reading program. The winner will be chosen by a random drawing!

Kids and teens can also earn buttons. For every 100 minutes (200 teens) you read you will earn a collectible summer reading button. Read a total of 900 (1800 teens) minutes to collect all 10 buttons!

Kids and teens also have the chance to earn up to 3 books that are yours to keep forever. Earn a book after reading 300 (600 teens), 600 (1200 teens), and 900 (1800 teens) minutes! Adults will earn one book when they read a total of 1800 minutes.

Reading must be completed between June 1 - August 6. Pick-up the prizes you earned at your library between June 14 and August 13.
