National Library Week 2012 (April 8-14, 2012) Food Drive collected 2,448 pounds of food for the Idaho Foodbank
Submitted by julie on May 14, 2012 - 1:51pm.Thanks for participating in our recent food drive for National Library Week 2012. Your generous donations helped us donate 2,448 pounds of food to the Idaho Foodbank, and partner Star Outreach! That’s the equivalent of 2,040 meals.
The Idaho Foodbank states that …“the food donated through your efforts will be sorted and boxed by volunteers, then redistributed to more than 200 non-profit partner organizations found in communities across the state.”

VolunteerMatch

As you may know, VolunteerMatch is the nonprofit, online service that matches potential volunteers with organizations, like Idaho Libraries, throughout the United States. The Ada Community Library Victory Branch has created their first posting which will be live soon! Look forward to future opportunities!

Support Your Library with the Albertsons Boise Open

If you enjoy watching great golf, or want to give someone else (e.g. family member, colleague or client) the gift of a week of amazing golf action, you can give the library a gift at the same time. Simply purchase weekly grounds tickets to the 2012 Albertsons Boise Open through this special tickets for charity form and 100% of the proceeds come directly to the library. We plan to use the proceeds to enhance early childhood development resources at all four locations.
